The house is located at 110 Green Avenue, Castleton, NY. This source was used to find more research on the land.
Deed to Cheney's Piano Factory. This source was helpful for learning about the properties that Mr. Cheney owned.
Post card of the home from 1928. We saw what the house looked like back then and compared it to now.
Picture of A.C. Cheney. This source gave us a glimpse at Mr. Cheney, what he looked like so that we could have a visual.
We got a tour of the home from the current owner, Joseph Scandurra. This tour was used to learn about the interior and history of the home. Pictures taken on the tour of the home. This gave us sources for our website.
Learned about the order of the owners. This told us about Mr. Cheney, Thomas Parran Jr., The Shaws, the Lendy's and the current owner are the Scandurra's.
Andrew found info on one of the past owners. This source was used so that we could learn enough information so that we could have lots of information on the owners of the Cheney house page.
Found Thomas Parran Jr.'s Obituary. This tells us on how his life went and what he did.
Cheney Boarding Home: Mike found the blue prints of the house and found out how it was structured.
He found the Deed of the house and that helped him find out who the previous owner was, and who the owner is now.
He used pictures of the house back then to look at what the house looked like back then. Mike did not use anyone for important information, he got the pictures, the deed, and the blueprints from the Village Hall.
